Memorial
Yoshiko Okubo was born on September 7, 1948 in Saitama, Japan.
She married her husband Eiichi Okubo when she was 19 years old and they had 3 children while in their twenties.
She was an extremely dedicated mother and wife who always put her family first as her priority.
Because she lost her father when she was 7 years old, she always tried to create a close family bond. She always tried to dine with the entire family as often as possible with her delicious cooking.
She used to be my best mother as well as my best friend. She was always there whenever I needed her.
Because I had to change school often for my father's business, I had tough time making new friends. Whenever I had the problem, she used to tell me that she was my mother as well as my friend. I remember that she used to protect my dignity in new school whenever I had difficulty accommodating myself.
I wish she was still here so I could show my future children; so that I could spend more time with her giving back whatever I owed her.
As time pass by, all the memories of her become so precious and important to lift me up now. Since she is gone, I feel always something missing.
Because I was too young to lose so precious and close person like my mother, more time pass by, more regrets I feel toward her: things that I once pushed off doing for her when she was here are now impossible to accomplish.
It's funny that in my dream I'm trying to give her whatever things that I wasn't able to when she was here.
