It's 2015 and I just found out. My Bob died of cancer in 2011. The fun we had together, complaining about the young. Bill was the funniest man alive, and he had a HUGE heart. Will always love his memory. XXX0000

It is now 2012, and I have just learned from my daughter, Sandy, that you left us four years ago. I remember how much fun it was to have you as an office mate, and your kindnesses to me and Sandy when my husband passed away in 1973. Thanks for the memories, my friend. See you soon.

Well I ran across some photos of Bill, thinking of the old days in Vail. What a loveable scoundral he was. I had the pleasure of skiing with Bill and Betan in the best days of the 70s with Alex Mcormick and the Sweedish Divas's. Great powder runs in the Back Bowls and lots of of jokes and giggles on the chair lift! Hilarious lunches at the Cook Shack and then late nights when we would fall into our egss at his place at the Lodge at Vail. The stories he would tell and the humor that would drive the tears from your eyes. Belly aching laughter from all in the room. And oh yes, we would certainly have had our share of wine and Aquavitte! I will miss you Bill! I was your protoge! I will cary on that spirit, in your honor, until we meet again. I smile when I think of you!

I just ran across a funny note from Wm the Good, sent from Solana Beach awhile back. Sadly, when looking for him, found he had passed. He was a wonderful friend and inspired me with his incredible wit and vocabulary. Certainly, he made me a better writer by example. We sure had some fun in the old days of Vail. I can imagine Whiteford and Stoney up there in Heaven, running their own Casino Vail in the sky. Love and kisses to my old friend.
