This site is dedicated to Victor VandenBulcke. Vic was born in Detroit to Jerome & Alice, where they owned a bar after emigrating from Belgium. His family moved to the Utica area & lived in the home attached to the party store they purchased. Vic attended St. Lawrence schools, where he played football, met his future wife & graduated in 1962. Vic began his career as a printer for the Detroit News, and then learned the automotive toolmaking trade. Shortly after graduating, Victor married Irene Detroyer, with whom he had three children in Utica. They moved to Dryden where they stayed for 17 years. In 1993 Vic moved back to Utica where he enjoyed his favorite activities-country dancing, karaoke, boating on Lake St. Clair, golf and some traveling. Most of all, he loved socializing with friends, meeting new people and sharing stories. A favorite motto of Vic’s comes from Luke 11:9, “ask and you shall receive”.
