Hi Mumbi & Vuyo,

Isaiah 43:2 Is our prayer for you.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze

God keep you and watch over you and comfort you in ways that surpass human understanding.

May u find comfort in knowing that your little angle is now with his creator, and he resting in peace/forever. He now lives in God's presence, Thando's life changed but did not end. He is accompanied by Christ who died and now lives in his kingdom where all our tears will be wiped away.

Wisdom 2:23–3:9

God formed man to be imperishable;
the image of his own nature he made them.
But by the envy of the Devil, death entered the world,and they who are in his possession experience it. But the souls of the just are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them.They seemed, in the view of the foolish, to be dead;and their passing away was thought an affliction and their going forth from us, utter destruction.
But they are in peace. For if before men, indeed, they be punished, yet is their hope full of immortality; Chastised a little, they shall be greatly blessed,because God tried them
and found them worthy of himself. As gold in the furnace, he proved them,and as sacrificial offerings he took them to himself. In the time of their visitation they shall shine, and shall dart about as sparks through stubble; They shall judge nations and rule over peoples,
and the Lord shall be their King forever.
Those who trust in him shall understand truth,
and the faithful shall abide with him in love:
Because grace and mercy are with his holy ones,
and his care is with his elect.

There is a story written by Luci Swindoll found in the "The women of Faith, Daily Devotional" that describes the inquisitive yet wholesome life of Vuyo and Mumbi. This is the life that baby Thando was introduced to in-utero. Close your eyes, and picture a sunset, a flower garden, a clown, a butterfly, a stained glass window, and a carnival. These things all have color in common, a vivid, intense color, which symbolize the color wheel of this world of which we are very fortunate inhabitants. Henri Matisse said ".. color possesses a beauty of its own, and the color of things is one of life's added attractions, incidental to whatever makes the world go round. Knowing we would one day have dark days, maybe God threw in color to give our lives sparkle and joy." Scripture talks of color a lot. There's blue yarn, green pastures, purple clothing, yellow breastplates, brown horses, a white throne and lots more. Don' permit yourself to be trapped in a drab, flat, colorless life that lacks luster and brightness. Christ's death on the cross enables you to live in the light. Color is light. It is manifested in a blue sky, a golden dawn, and an iridescent rainbow. God's handiwork is a masterpiece and is all around you. Open your eyes.
The fruit of the spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Thankfulness, Self Control, above these things there is no law. The name Vuyo means, Joy, Thando means love, and Mumbi means Creator. Mumbi and Vuyo, whether you were aware of it or not you have been and continue to exhibit the fruits of the spirit. Thando will be a reminder of the love that the two of you share. Mumbi, creator, within you shall more be created both in the physical and spiritual realm. Embrace your strengths and gifts that God has given you. Just like Abraham was told his seed would scatter and fill the earth and he would not be able to count them, so shall you too in the future be unable to count your seed.
We are all God’s creations, made for his glory and enjoyment. He has created animals such as the platypus that do not fall into any typical category that we have provided as humans. Why we might ask? Was it for trickery? Was it for Gods’ enjoyment? Is it to show us his creativity? We do not know, but what we know is that in the complexity of this odd creature is life in abundance. Thando was created for a purpose, which he has served, and his spirit is now with God. As Jesus said, let the children come to me, if one does not have faith as one of these then he will not see the kingdom of God.
Vuyo, Joy, seek happiness in all that you do. Joy is infectious and will diffuse through all it touches. Intention everyday to manifest that which you were named for. Mumbi and Vuyo, embrace the wonderful time that you shared with Thando and I pray that you will be drawn by love to seek the color around you, you shall embrace joy in the experiences of life before you and that you shall continue to create as you are destined to do.
God bless you abundantly, Christine Martey-Ochola

Irene & Vuyo,

I can't imagine the sense of pain and crippling grief you feel by Thando's sudden loss. Though his life was tragically short, I hope it consoles you to know that during his time here he was cherished, comforted, and wrapped in the warmth of love that only you two could give him.

May this little "candle" help illuminate away the sadness as you two recover. My sincerest condolences.
