Memorial
God gave our mother fifty-seven years to make her mark in this world before calling her home. She used all fifty-seven years, and she will live on forever in the hearts of all those who knew her.
Our mother was a character, such an absolute and colorful personality. It is impossible to list all of the adjectives that would describe her: tenacious, strong, opinionated, funny, generous, beautiful and Brave. When she learned that she had terminal cancer, she began her quest to push the finish line further and further away. At first discovery, the doctors predicted she would have only three months to live. She lived her life fully for two more years. She would often remark of how she showed the doctors they were wrong. She was not one to take no for an answer. If she wanted time, she took it. And she did. That is why it is hard to say that she lost her battle to cancer, or that she succumbed to her cancer. A more accurate conclusion is that God no longer wanted her to suffer. She had a sharp decline in her last months and it was hard to see her leaving us but we are blessed to have had each moment that was given.
Please celebrate our Mother’s life with us. She did not want people to be saddened by thoughts of her being gone. We will treasure all of the memories we are blessed with. Please take a moment to view our mother's video under the 'video' tab or http://youtu.be/lOTRQVS4dQc.
