Stephen was born on November 8, 1945. He was 64 when he died. Steve was a quiet and gentle soul. He never complained, even when he should have, and always was polite and agreeable. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved comedies. The Three Stooges were a favorite. His face lit up when children were around and he had deep affection for pets of all kinds.

Steve grew up in a large and loving family. The son of Edward (Eddie) and Margaret (Peg) Klingenbeck, older brother of Clyde (Kathleen), Uncle to Sydney and Carrlee, nephew of five aunts and uncles, and the sixth of 15 first cousins. He was adored by his two special grandmothers, Catherine (Katie) Pike and Julia Klingenbeck.

He graduated from Pacific School, a school for the developmentally disabled in 1962. Steve lived at home after school and worked in a variety of sheltered businesses. His mental health declined over a period of time and had been living in adult family homes for the past 30 years.

Steve lived the last eight years under the loving care of Leo and Pinky Quesada, their daughters Diamond and Pearl, and roommates Patrick, John and Pat. Steve passed away in the arms of Leo the morning of January 29, 2010. Our family is eternally grateful to Leo and his family for providing Stephen with a safe, stable and loving home.
