You're one in a million. You are my Jeff Spicoli with the heart of an angel. You were going to teach William how to be that easy going guy with that attitude to not take life so seriously. I know he already has it. He has your charm and he almost fits into the shirt you gave him when he was born. He will always be told about you. My daughter Alexandria, was blessed to know and befriend you even she will tell William stories about you and your true nature. In spirit you will be his Godfather. All you needed was a cool buzz, tasty waves and you were fine. Be at peace my great friend.

Rafal and I have known Seth since 2007. Words cannot express how fantastic of a friend he was as well as how great he was to have as goalie on your team! We are still in awe of his departing this world "physically" but wish him the best up above. You are already missed greatly...... Angela & Rafal Los

Wow I am sad writing this post thinking back on on the good times we had hanging out after our hockey games and the occasional other trips to bars and beer fest. I wish I had taken him up on the offer to come up to my place and Wisconsin to build a brick oven for me. I am going to have to get one built and put a special brick with a "Skywalker" logo on it.

I have so many memories of Seth but one of my favorites was sitting in back of Mike's the day after the fourth of July party 2008. It was two weeks before robbie was born and you asked if you could feel him move. Your face was priceless when he was kicking your hands. You were always so kind and loved life so much. I'm a better person for have knowing you.

Seth was the best babysitter in the world, mom and dad went out one night and we did our own slip and slide from the kitchen floor all the way to the bathroom. We used soapy water and poured it all over the floor and slid all the way,and he also helped me clean it up before they got home we had fun together that night. Miss u Seth!

Seth-I remember you coming over to help me with the fawns. You were in heaven-they all came to you-not afraid. You had us take a picture of you with one of the fawns. You said you were going to keep it in your visor in your car "to remind you to drive slowly". Such a kind soul. (I cannot type-my tears are clouding the keyboard) You parents taught you so very well-to respect all living things-to LOVE.You made a difference, so many people strive for that-you did it in so very many ways. My heart hurts-I know you would not want that for anyone-
but us mere mortals cannot help ourselves. You have ascended to the next level. Your job here was done-your presents to us all will be kept close to our hearts, for everyone that met you (and many that did not) will never forget. I know I never will....

My dear and only Grandson. You left as so unexpectedly. I still remember how your grandma and I went to the hospital to see und greet you and to congratulate your mother Karin, our only daughter. You slept through the whole event, however.
Years later Grandma and I were driving to your school graduation. Grandma was suffering from terminal cancer, but she insisted to to come and congratulate you. My car had a flat tire on the tollroad to Schaumburg. Grandma's wheelchair was in the trunk and I had to remove it in order to get to the spare tire. A friendly state trooper stopped, sow the wheelchair and did most of the wheel changing himself.
One of the most unforgettable experience was when you and your cousin came along with Graciela, my second wife, and me for a two week trip to Germany. In Hamburg I could show you the grade school I attended for over two years and the apartment building wher my parents and I lived from shortly after my birth in 1922 to 1931. We also attended a relative's wedding, and made a four hour Rhine river cruise. A special side trip for you and your 'sister' Raina, both residents of Schaumburg, Illinois, was a visit to a real medieval castle Schaumburg.
It was such a fun traveling with you, dear Grandson, we are missing you. Rest in Peace.

I still haven't been to Hat Trick since you went to heaven. It will never be the same.
I always enjoyed our pre and post game conversations as well as our talks during the games too. My heart is so heavy still buddy. I'm putting you number on my skates so you will be with me when I play. I will make sure "Evacuate the dance floor" is played for you before the games. My two youngest boys thought the world of you. I loved how you made them smack you pads for good luck. I will never forget the hockey road trips to Detroit and Grand Rapids and our "meetings" post game with Lance Laird. I miss you buddy, keep an eye on me up there.

Seth got his wish at the age of 6 to get a lil sister and he got me.Although im really his cousin he always referred to me as his sister. We had alot of fun as kids, but as we got older i became the bratty sister, only because i wanted to be around him.As we got into the adult years we became friends, although i made mistakes we had heart to heart conversations, all he wanted from me is to learn from my mistakes and become a better person, which i have and the last couple of yrs he knew that and told me he was proud of me.He gave lots of advice that im using. One last note i spoke to him a couple of wks ago he said he was gonna call me back on my bday, this last one was real hard for me,but Seth visited me the night of my bday and he said happy bday and gave me a big hug,and said Raina im with u always and i will be back soon to visit u. Love u Seth forever.

Seth made me laugh.. The last time I saw him, he tagged along on our girls night. What a fun night we had! What I appreciated most about Seth was his ability to make people feel good about themselves.

Seth, you are such an amazing soul. You possessed the unique ability to impact each and every life you came in contact with; no matter how brief the encounter. You made me laugh with your great sense of humor. I will never forget our "worst nightmare" story (the picture is currently my FB cover photo). The last time that you, Mary Conoboy & I hung out, you were able to get one of the nastiest muscle spasms out of my back that wouldn't even budge after I paid for a massage! You were a healer...mind, body & soul. We laughed so much that night and had such a great time. I had the pleasure of meeting your parents while we all sat with you as you were make your journey into your next life. I watched your father beam with pride for a son that obviously meant the world to him. I saw family (not limited to blood relation) share their love together, for you, and that showed me that there are still families out there that support one another until the end. You will be greatly missed by many. Please continue to shine upon all of those you loved, as we will all continue to shine with memories of you!

Seth I have known you for almost 30 years, my friend. I have always admired your love of animals & the way you wanted to save each one that crossed your path!
You have been such a good friend to so many people. You loved life & just wanted to always have a good time & have everyone laugh & get along. You will be greatly missed here, but I take comfort in knowing that we will all be re-united one day! I know you are in good hands with your best friend Ray O'Gara ;) the two of you just couldn't stay apart, I guess.

I had the pleasure of knowing Seth through Rollerhockey. He was great person to be around, always happy and a huge smile on his face. I admired his passion for sports and the way that he excelled in all that he did. I learned that Seth wanted to learn to Wakeboard last summer and I was honored to teach him. He picked it up very quickly and I remember him telling me, "next time I am going to jump and clear the wake." We had briefly talked about going surfing in April, this is another thing that Seth wanted to learn how to do well, and he would have. We didn't get the opportunity to go snowboarding together, but I know it would have been a blast. Seth was an incredible person who lived life to the fullest. I am grateful to have known Seth! May you rest in peace. We all miss you!

Oh Super Seth! you are by far one of the most beautiful, gentle, and sincere people I have had the blessing to know. I have shed tears thinking about all of us trying to overcome the overwhelming loss of you. But, then I remind myself you weren't about sorrow. Your life was all about laughter, smiles, and comfort to those lucky enough to know you. Because of you, we will never be the same...but in a good way. I count you and Wicca 20 kajillion times when I count my blessings. You two helped me when no one else could. You were my foundation when I was weak, emotionally and physically. And I know it wasn't just me you did this for. Such a big heart. So many memories of doing selfless things, being crazy, dancing ridiculously, playing with the pooches, and watching Willy Wonka. Ha ha ha. You rock, Super Seth!

I didn't know Seth all that well, but he left an impression on me. Like one person posted, "You don't have to see Seth to know he's there, you just hear him with his walkman blaring". I remembered that in high school. Another time that I remember, I was having a party at my parents in '93, and Seth was at Bill G's party two blocks away. He showed up at my party with an empty cup and said, "I already bought this cup at the other party, do I have to buy another one here?" He was so funny. When I was at Ray's wake, I saw him walk a few older ladies inside, holding them in comfort. He was such a wonderful person. I wish I got to know him better. God Bless! Love, Brian and Andrea Zurek.

I never had the pleasure of knowing Seth, but I've learned a lot about him vicariously through someone whom I care for every much. He influenced an incredible amount of lives for the better, and was an inspiration to many. It is painfully apparent how much he will be missed, and my heart goes out to you all.

I remember meeting Seth years ago back at the Dome in Elgin playing against him when he was goalie on Rage Against the Machine. I have been playing in leagues with him for over 10 years since then and he was really passionate about playing hockey. I always enjoyed talking with him after games or running into him at rink. He was a great guy and he will be missed!

Goon too Soon
The light was extinguished far far too soon,
Charismatic and charming, a smile that lit up the room.
There was never a challenge he would not accept,
Or a person who knew him and thought of him with contempt.
A beautiful mind and a spirit that gave,
He enriched all our lives in his limited days.
As we pick up the pieces the challenge begins,
To honor our brother and remember our friend.
To live life as he did with our heart on our sleeve,
With integrity and charity for any in need.
So his journey ends but his legacy starts,
As we aim to be better people and keep his memory close to our hearts.

Rest In Peace Sobrino.

*I read this poem online and ripped it, I take no credit for it, except for knowing that it just described Seth perfectly.

~ Brought joy, laughter, fun and frivolity into every experience
~ Lived for today, on his terms, in a way most people can only aspire to, including myself
~ Never tried to be someone he wasn't
~ Loved his Family with ALL of his heart
~ Believed EVERY Life was sacred, even a biting Mosquito
~ Was the friend you could trust with your darkest secrets, and revel in your greatest joys
~ Was the person you wanted at every party
~ Always saw the good in people, and rarely pointed out the bad
~ Was a perfectionist in his work, showing pride and skill in both complex jobs, and the simplest

Was my friend, during some of the most difficult moments of my life, and in many of my best memories.
So long and farewell, I am lucky to have known you ~Jules

I know Seth and I were total opposites and didn't plan on being together, but I am so grateful for the fun times I had with him and for making him feel good about himself and loved. We spent the last 9 months with no drama, fighting or tension. Seth was just so easy to be around and always brightened my day. I miss his charming personality and good looks and selfishly wish I could be with him still. I know he is in a much better place than all of us are on Earth. I love you Seth. Say hi to Ray and I hope we meet again someday.
