food, casino, old westerns and people
Rudy served in the Army for almost 6 yrs starting off in Germany at the end of WW2. Was then drafted back into the army to serve in the Korean war where he received metals for his service over there. Not long after returning home he met and married the love of his life Barbara Anderson in Mason City Iowa back on November 12, 1953. Soon afterwards they shared 7 children together from oldest to youngest, Michael Charles, Leah Ann, Rudolph Carl, Joanne Lynn, Patricia Lori, Kathleen Marie and Diana Sue. They also shared 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.. He always loved going out and having colorful conversation with people (bullshitting with people)or just sitting home and watching the old westerns on the tube and directing what his next meal he wanted mom to make. Whenever someone needed something even if he didnt have it he still would help them out, he had a very giving heart sometimes too giving..

Another year went by without you coming up to the stand at the fair. I still was exspecting you to show up on the mini beep with it full of all your goodies that you love getting out there.. Everytime I would see a man on a red mini beep I would catch myself double looking to see if it was you even knowing I knew it wouldnt be.. I miss you dad so much I still see you sitting in your chair when I go over to your house,, Mom still seems lost without you I love dad

The day that you left us
You didn’t say good-bye.
God was calling his angel home,
There was no time to ask why.

How we cried when you left
The pain was felt by all.
Memories now is all we have
And your pictures on the wall.

Though I cannot see you,
I know that your still here.
In my memories you will always live,
In my heart you’re always near.

Tears have fallen for you,
Some happy and some sad.
A man that I grew up to love,
A man I called my Grandpa.

We miss you very dearly,
You’re missed very much.
You will never be forgotten.

I love and miss you Grandpa
