Memorial
I want to let everyone know that Bobby's memorial service and reception was awesome. Pastor Laurie captured his spirit and our love for him and his specialness. She was a great comfort to me. Many wonderful friends, former neighbors, and family members came together to share their memories and give and find comfort. Thank you everyone, those who came to the memorial, those who wrote on this website, those who sent flowers or posted a note on facebook or sent an email or card, and those who donated to Bobby's little family. You have been great comfort to us all, and help us with this terrible grief. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Memorial Service:

This site is dedicated to Robert Hatt. He was a young man who left this earth far too early. At 26 he was a loving father of 3 beautiful children, husband to his wonderful wife Crystal, and son and brother.

Bobby as we all know him, loved life and he loved the Bluegrass. After moving to Florida where he met and married Crystal and where there 3 children were born, and after her college graduation, Bobby realized his dream of returning home, to Lexington Kentucky. He had been a successful business marketing VP for a small manufacturing business in Florida but the call of the Bluegrass was strong!

They moved into a lovely home in Lexington less than 2 months ago. Bobby started his own business, Bluegrass Design Group, with the help of his family and friends. They would make recycled outdoor products from HDPE plastics.

He was working on prototypes for Keeneland seating. Bobby LOVED Keeneland and was thrilled at being able to provide seats for them. Bobby loved his children so much he would bring the kids to the shop with him, he didn't like being away from them.

Bobby was taken away suddenly from us, and we will forever miss his funny laugh, his optimistic can do attitude, his wonderful love for his friends and family. Bobby never met a stranger and his circle of friends was forever expanding. He will be missed more than can be said, he was headed for a wonderful life. Now his wife and children have the long road ahead with out the light of their lives.

I think we met once, Bob but it's not fair when we loose someone who's family I know well. You were so important to all of them and will always be remembered.

Bobby and I grew up together. He lived in the smurf colored house next door and as far back as I can remember, Bobby was my friend. Coming to my birthday party naked, digging holes in his yard with Phillip, and staying at my house for so long I swore I had another brother. I remember when I moved to another neighborhood across town. Although we went to SCAPA together, I was worried things wouldn't be the same. No more sneaking to each others houses at night, no more getting rides to and from school together, no more Bobby. But he swore to me we would always be friends no matter what happens, how far we were from each other, even if we didn't talk for years. I will never forget that. My childhood will be forever connected with Bobby's and I wouldn't have it any other way. He will be greatly missed and live on in the memories we shared. I only wish, as everyone does, he had more time with us all.

"I taught Spanish at SCAPA and remember Bobby so well. What an amazing kid. My boys are now teenagers and I was telling them about Bobby at dinner last night. I decided to google search for Bobby and saw that he had died. I'm so terribly sorry. Mike"

"Two years have past since you left us, dear son, but you are with me every day, in the sunrise, the moonlight, and in the wind against my cheek. I feel you in my heart, and know you are looking over us all. Love, Mom"

"You would have been 28 this year. Still so very young for all your responsibilities. Thanks so much for being there with me through the tears, and for answering my prayers - I know you have God's ear! BTW the kids are doing fantastic, but you know"

"Bobby always hated the Fall. He used to tell me when he was just a little boy how he hated the orange and brown colors, that they gave him a "headache." Strange that he should leave this earth in the Fall."
