Memorial
This site is dedicated to Richard Budd. His passing was on February 17th 2009. He is survived by his sister Charlene Budd and 2 children Eric Budd, Brandi Budd, and his 3 grand kids Tristan Budd, Michael Budd, and Skye Quintero. Dad's wishes were to be cremated and will have his ashes spread in Pryor, Oklahoma where his brother's were spread. More details on that coming soon. No services are being held at this time until then. Check for updates or contact Tammy for a Memorial get together in dad's name for all his friends and family to party and celebrate his life with laughter, as that's what he wanted.
His love for the art of cooking will live on in our hearts forever. We are all very proud at the fact that he could cook up a mean chili or his secret Budd's BBQ sauce that he wanted to bottle and label for so many years, among many other dishes he loved to critique. His passion for his food always made us smile when his eyes would light up knowing he got to cook for someone he loves. Don't plan on eating quick though!! Cause he LOVED to take his time to make it perfect...and so it was.
You touched the lives of so many people Dad, and they all love you and miss you very much. You will always be in the hearts and minds of all those in your life that you had deep and endless conversations with. Those moments will always be cherished, and never forgotten. Your intelligent personality and quick humor will always be there to put a smile on our faces to keep you alive in our hearts forever. We are better people for having you touch our lives, for you have left a sense of peace and lasting impression on all of us. Your spiritual knowledge and passion has taught us all something that we will keep with us always. I hope that one day, we will all hear that crazy little bug thing you would do in our ears that made us laugh for so many years. Til this day, your grand kids still try to do that to us.... just one of those little things you passed along that will continue to stay alive.
We love you dad, and we will see you soon. Hope your winning all the chili and BBQ contests wherever you are, and kicking back and relaxing and having a beer with those you lost, and were waiting for you....Now its your turn to wait for us. We raise our glasses to you! See you soon...We love you!

Dear Richard, although today would have been your 55th birthday here on earth, I know that you are totally at peace in heaven. I miss you very much and think about you often. Your family seems to be doing fine and I am grateful that I can maintain contact with them. It is like a link to be nearer to you and see your grandchildren growing up. Facebook really works and I get to see pictures of your kids and grandkids to see how they are doing. I love you very much and want you to know that I have not forgotten you or your sense of humor. Sure, there have been some down days, but knowing that you are OK helps me make it through the tougher times. Happy Birthday.
Peace and Love Tammy

In Loving Memory of Richard Alan Budd
September 20, 1955 – February 17, 2009

I give you this one thought to keep ~ I am with you still ~ I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush, I am the swift uplifting rush.
Of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone ~ I am with you still – in each new dawn.

Love you Richard!

Rick Budd...quite the chili cook. Last year at my 'Blazing Saddles' party we had a chili cookoff. Rick Budd's submision won first place and a prize, a 'Blazing Saddles' t-shirt. That night I got some cooking tips from Rick and we shared some laughs. Thanks Rick

Its a "GUY THING" was Rick`s favorite thing to say, at least to me and I believe to many of you. Rick was Mister Serious when he spoke on most matters that meant something to him. He would always sit up on the end of his chair, look you straight in the eye and with conviction expressed his heartfelt feelings to you. What`s great about Rick is is that EVEN when he was so serious telling you his strong feelings, if you said something funny he would lay back in his chair, throw his head back emmediatly and begin laughing.
Now WE`RE talking Rick`s laugh - deep and true! I miss that laugh, I miss Rick. Not many people you meet in this life have the heart, the GOOD heart our friend Rick did.
Hey Rick, "Its A Guy Thing", Right!
Miss you Bud-dy ! Your friend Sammy ........God Bless You >>>>>>>>>>>
