My roommate and I shared the other half of a duplex with Paul in Boulder. We all chipped in on a Charbroil grill for the backyard. A superb investment! I still have it!!! His door was always open... As long as you knew the special knock. The first thing Paul would do when we'd have him in for a beer was scope out our refrigerator!!! Lol! I started to do the same thing to him when I'd go over to listen to records. He never said a word. What a character. Played a few rounds of golf with him. We discussed the trials and tribulations of being Volvo wagon owners. I always thought I'd run in to him again in a very unexpected manner. Who knows.

Paul was such a wonderful human being! We met at a Dead show in 1987, and hung out together for a few weeks, and then kept in touch over the next few years. He was truly a light and open person. I am so sorry for your loss.

I knew Paul when we were kids in Northbrook. One of the few kids that treated everyone the same regardless of age. Which really was a big deal back then. I was 2 years younger.

We used to hang out in the woods behind Jewel and smoke cigs(?). A lot of laughter.

I always wondered what happened to him?

So very sorry for your loss.

Gods speed.

I met Paul while I was working at "the Buck". He was one of the few people that came in to the bar that I was genuinely glad to see!
He seemed to always be smiling. He had a fun sense of humor and a great laugh.
I will miss you Paul!
If you would like to see Paul's Hollywood debut check out the movie Georgia.

Hi there, I was and will always be a friend of Pauls "Pablo", as he was known to some of us.
I look forward to the memorial, though with a sad heart. He is greatly missed in Seattle. Who couldn't miss that sheepish grin and huge heart. Miss you man,

"I enjoy looking at the photo of Paul; he is very typically fully engaged in conversation. He and I have chatted over many years on many topics -- I will miss him."
