Last night Moms name was engraved at the Cancer institute of New Jersey. As you go up the main stairs on the left side wall moms name will always be there for everyone to see. Hopefully seeing moms name will remind people of Mom and how mom was so courageous with her battle with cancer.
Mom truly was an inspiration to others battling cancer.

Mom, with every passing year I realize how much Ive learned from you. Your kindness taught me how to trust others, and your sense of humor kept me from taking things too seriously. By sticking up for whats right, you taught me the power of truth. Most of all, by loving me, you gave me confidence. For these and all other life lessons you taught by example. I'll be forever grateful, mom!! Happy Mothers day! Miss you!! Love Tray!

Mom, I learned about love from you, watching your caring ways. I learned about joy from you In fun-filled yesterdays. From you I learned forgiving of faults both big and small. I learned what I know about living from you, as you gave life your all. The example you set is still with me I'd never want any other. I'm thankful for all that you taught me, And I'm blessed to have called you my Mother. Love, Todd

Dear Mom, Everyday I wake up and still cant believe that you are gone. You had so much more life to live and I wish you were here enjoying it. Life for us now is a totally different life. We are slowly adjusting to our different lives, taking one day at a time and on each day thinking of you. Thinking of you and missing your loving and caring ways. I miss you Mom. Happy Valentines Day, Love Todd

Mom, I want to thank you for the very special gifts you've given me all my life. You've given me the gift of sweet childhood memories. You've given me the gift of dreams, the ones you've made come true and the ones I achieved myself because of your encouragement. But most of all, you've always given me the gift of your love, the most precious gift of all. There's no way I could possibly thank you enough for these gifts and so many more. I will always be so grateful, and you will always have a special place in my life and my heart.MERRY CHRISTMAS LOVE TRAY

I found this letter and felt like it was sent from mom.

Letter from heaven

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say. But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, there's not more tears of sadness; Here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.Remember that I am with you every morning, noon, and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through.
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you. It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.I need you here badly, you're part of my plan. There's so much that I have to do, to help our mortal man.God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do.And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night the day's chores put to flight. God and I are closest to the middle of the night. When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years.
Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry: it does relieve the pain.Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over,I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too; That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain; Then you can say to God at night..."My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented...that my life was worthwhile.Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile. So, if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low; Just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go. When you're walking down the street and you've got me on your mind; I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. And when it's time for you to go...from that body to be free.
Remember you're not're coming here to me.

We'll always remember
that special smile,
that caring heart,
that warm embrace,
you always gave us.
You being there
for Dad and us
no matter what.
We'll always remember
you Mom because
they'll never be another one
to replace you in our hearts,
and the love we will always
have for you.
I miss you so much Mom

I had the pleasure of meeting Pat when I had my first interview for a position at CentraState Medical Center. I didn't get the job but Pat suggested I volunteer my services which I did for almost two years. When I finally got a position at the hospital I interacted with Pat almost on a daily basis. She was always upbeat and friendly and I will miss her greatly. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family. May she rest in peace.

I am so saddened to hear the news about Pat. I had met Pat in my first year as a Nurse Recruiter 15 years ago. I was drawn to her wonderful personality and smile. We always took a minute to find each other at any recruitment event and grab a bite to eat and catch up. She was always willing to provide sound advice and much needed laughter. I was always inspired by her positive attitude and strength to continue her fight against cancer! My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. She will truly be missed.

As a fellow recruiter I had the pleasure of knowing Pat for the past 13 years and often shared lunch with her at job fair events throughout the state. Pat was unfailingly gracious, kind and friendly. She was always available to anyone who needed her help or advice. She will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathies to her family of which she often spoke and all her many friends.

Dear Pete, Tricia Tray & Todd,

I am not really sure what to write, other then how sorry I am.

Distance certainly does not make my sadness for your family any less.

I was very lucky when Tricia moved in across the hall from me for many reasons, most all was the pleasure to have met your entire family.

Dear Peter and family,
I was so saddened to hear of Pat's death. I too am from Carteret and met Pat on the school bus on day 1 of our four years together at St. Mary's High School. We became close friends and for the next four years were part of a close knit group of girls.
Pat always had a smile on her face. She was one of the friendliest, most outgoing people I ever met.
I will keep her in my prayers.

We each get just one mother to love a lifetime through, one mother to encourage us in everything we do.
But one mother is so many people blended into one, A source of inspiration and happiness and fun. A mother hears our every word. She listens with her heart. Her mastery of motherhood is a very special art. A mother shares and always cares. She thinks of others first, and she’ll love us just like always even when we’re at our worst. A mother brings such happiness with kindnesses she gives and creates a good example simply with the life she lives. Yes, we only have one mother to look up to and praise, and no one else in all the world can match her loving ways.

Today on moms birthday we celebrated how lucky we were to have such a wonderful, loving and caring mom. Happy birthday mom! Love, Todd

Mom, At night I stay up thinking about you with tears falling from my face. Some nights late at night I finally fall asleep. In the morning when I wake up I think of you and think for a minute, that all that happened was a nightmare. I quickly realize what has happened is reality. My breathing pattern becomes erratic and I feel sick to my stomach. Mom, life without you is so different, its so sad, so hard to go through each day, its almost impossible to smile and be happy. You were the best most caring mom to Tray, Tricia, and me. I know you are out there watching over us now. I wish you were still here on earth with us, but I know you are in a much better place. Mom I love you and miss you so much!!!!

You don't understand how much you're missed,
How could it all end like this?
Now you're up in heaven above,
Watching down on us with all your love.

I wish you were here,
So maybe you could help dry these tears.
I think about you every day,
And miss you in every way.
I still can't believe you're gone,
And now everything just feels so wrong.

I'd do anything to see your face,
Everything is just so out of place.
If I could hear your laugh just one last time,
Just to make sure you're fine.

I miss you so much, LOVE YOU MOM!!! Tray.............

Moms courageous battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma over the past 25 years was unbelievable.Mom never showed weakness or felt that the cancer was going to win.She never gave in and was never negative. Mom did her research, tried different treatments and kept on fighting. People at the wake told us how moms battle with cancer was such an inspiration to them and made them change their attitudes towards their cancer and not give up! Mom was so strong, such a fighter, such an inspiration! Unknowingly mom made people live longer lives. What an amazing gift that mom had…..through her battle with cancer mom inspired people to live longer!
