I fondly remember Pat as being a very dedicated teacher and always willing to offer her assistance whenever I had questions regarding lessons and general school guidelines. She made me feel welcomed as I was coming to teach in a new school and another grade level. In addition, She showed me how to organize daily activities which to this day is implemented in my classroom. I extend my condolences to her family. She was one fine educator and will be missed in that regard!

What an amazing influence Pat had on my life. She's the reason I got my master's in reading. She also helped tremendously when my first child had problems learning to read. She gave me books out of her school library and suggestions on what to do. My adult child is now an avid reader. Thanks Pat.
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family.

I knew Mrs. Hand through her son, Mike. Although I never had the pleasure of having her for a teacher, I hear wonderful stories about her. Teachers like her are one of a kind, and she will be greatly missed. I always called her to ask for Mike's address whenever we had a class reunion coming up. We have a reunion in October, and I will miss talking with her. She was always very kind and would ask how Chuck was doing. My prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. May you be comforted by the prayers that are being offered for you and by the many memories of your beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, friend. With love and prayers, Alvina Hoyack
