Nenita Maca Portillo was born in Maasin Iloilo, married to Pedro Velasco Onday and they were blessed with nine children ;3 boys and 5 girls.
Francisco the eldest,Bethel,Melvyn,Estella,Peter Rey,Lily,Nelfa,Ceciel and Roel the youngest.
The Family prospers their life in the small brgy.of Guinsang-an…town of sto.nino south cotabato.
Although only farming the main source of income the children finished their school , goes to college and become degree holders…
Besides the diversity of life Nenita a mother,a housewife,a farmer and a grandmother lives her life to the fullest and successful on her own little way…
The MOTHERS love to all her children become her strength and wall to overcome the ages of life …
The caring hands to her grandchildren her hope and inspiration to fight what lies behind the passing years…
NANAY where ever you are WE know you are happy, this time you are with TATAY and finally your legacy leaved to us will remain in our heart forever…
Your teaching and lessons of life you taught to us will live forever…
Your dreams and wishes will continue…
We, Your children will always remember you…besides our differences and belief while we are having our own family but in our heart the love and oneness will stay forever…’till the day we meet in the life without pain and only blessed with happiness…
Now that I am gone,
remember me with smiles and laughter.
And if you need to cry,
cry with your brother or sister
who walks in grief beside you.

And when you need me,
put your arms around anyone
and give to them what you need to give to me.
There are so many who need so much.

I want to leave you something --
something much better than words or sounds.
Look for me in the people I've known
or helped in some special way.

Let me live in your heart
as well as in your mind.
You can love me most
by letting your love reach out to our loved ones,
by embracing them and living in their love.

Love does not die, people do.
So, when all that's left of me is love,
give me away as best you can.

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God laid, you see.
I took His hand when I heard him call.
I turned around and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I've found the peace on a sunny day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joys.
A family shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Oh yes, these things, I too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee.
God wanted me now; He set me free.

Small and frail with a knowing smile
she said I'm going home.
Don't weep, don't wail, don't mourn for me
You see, I'm going home.

Of course I know you'll miss me..
If I weren't so tired, I'd stay
But you see, my Lord has called me
He came to light my way.

I'm going home my dear ones
Someday you'll understand
I really must be going
He's here to take my hand.

Be kind to one another
Love each and everyday
Remember me, your mother,
And take the time to pray.

I'm going home today.

"Nanay, Having a mother like you while growing up was the greatest gift and biggest advantage anyone could ever have given me. It is because of the confidence and values that you instilled in me that made me who I am today. Thank you for shaping me i"
