Dear John-we did not know your wonderful Miriam for very long, however from the first time meeting her at Idlewild we were drawn to her sweet personality. She always treated us as if we were long time friends and she was eager to visit with us, never looking over her shoulder to see someone else but focused on us. We grieve with you as you adjust to this profound loss in your life. Our heartfelt condolences as well to all the members of your family. John&Sherry Louer

My love and prayers go out for you and your family on the loss of Miriam. She was my BFF in school at Botkins, Ohio. Many great memories from that time period of our lives. I remember the sleep-overs the giggling, going to church with her family. She always be that special friend to me. Sorry I could not come to the memorial, health reasons, but she has been in my thoughts all morning. Blessings to you and her family

Sorry to hear of your loss. Death is something never easy to deal with. It leaves hearts heavy filled with pain and sadness. We can be thankful for God's word the Bible, which provides us with a measure of comfort and a hope for the future. Revelation 21:3, 4 tells us that soon God will rid the earth of death and its painful effects forever. Be of good cheer to know that soon your dead loved one will come back to life here on earth!

As we remember Miriam we will miss her warm smile, her sparkling eyes and cheerful words of optimism and hope, her gracious hospitality and her caring spirit in listening and prayer for us. We will always remember the trip we took together to Branson and the fun we had that week. The meals we shared, the games we played, and the laugher. What a precious friend. We will continue to pray for you, John, and your precious family. We love you!

It was so exciting when John & Miriam first showed up at Regency Residence mission! The Christian light in them was very apparent, making it obvious they would be a real asset to group and to individuals. That first realization was confirmed over and over again in the months we shared. Miriam was easy to talk with--any subject that would bring forth a positive result. It was startling how real the knowing, at that first instant when I learned Miriam had set aside this life--that Miriam was in the presence of our Lord Jesus at that very moment! HALLELUJAH!

It has not yet been three years that we have known Miriam. But it certainly doesn't take long to get to know and love her. Our sister-in-Christ has truly been like family and we are so thankful that the Lord has blessed us with her and John's friendship. Indeed, we have many fond memories of Miriam. We will surely miss her.

Memories with Miriam and John go back many years for Joyce and I and now also for Patti. We traveled together to many places and enjoyed being together. Miriam was always so kind and considerate, loved to laugh, loved her family and her God. She will be dearly missed by many people and is now waiting for family and friends "in that city where they need no sun".

I can only say how very special Miriam and John have been to our lives. They made the best neighbors. She was my most favorite LADY! Always reflecting God's love. I only wish I could be a piece of the woman that she showed to me. Being around her made me love her more every single time. Now she will be missed by each of us that had the GREAT opportunity to spent part of our lives with her. Thank you Miriam. John we love you and want to continue to be a part of your life and Carson wants to see you soon loving and praying for you and your family. Mike and Chris

Dear John and Family,
I am so saddened by the news of the loss of your dear Miriam. As a teenager, when you were my high school chemistry and physics teacher, Miriam had a huge impact on my life. She radiated the love of Christ and lived in total dedication to the Lord, to her husband, to her children, and to others. I wanted to be like her. I was thankful to renew our relationship when you visited a few years ago. Miriam has left a great legacy in the lives of all who knew and loved her. May God comfort you with His love and peace as you grieve your loss, and may you find His grace sufficient for your every need.

Over the past few days I've laughed, cried and cherished the sweet memories from times with Miriam. She was like a grandmother to my Emily. When Emily was in the fifth grade, Miriam went to Grandparents Day lunch at school. This meant the world to Emily! One year Miriam was included in the drawing of our family tree by one of our children. One Friday while Miriam was working with me at church we got to talking about eggs. I told her my mom taught me to smell eggs when I cracked them open. She started laughing hysterically! She asked me if I'd ever smelled a bad one. Needless to say, I will continue to cherish this memory everytime I crack an egg. Miriam always had wonderful stories to share. John, she told me how much she loved spoiling you! Of course, how she only allowed the kids to use so many toilet paper squares always made us laugh! John, we are praying for you and your family. We love you!

Miriam was such a sweet person. I worked with Dr. Cromer. I asked her to serve on a panel for Phi Theta Kappa, the Honor Society, she graciously agreed. Of course she was awesome. I am praying for her husband and family. Be Blessed!

I met Miriam when I started working with Mary Jane Edwards in the Resource Roon at Idlewild 10 years ago. Miriam would come every Friday and volunteer her time helping us get ready for the preschoolers coming on Sunday :). What a treasure! We had laughs, tears, and lots of fun! An amazing woman of God...I was blessed spending time with her! We dressed as cows for Chick-fil-A day..she donated beautiful jewelry to my kids school so the kids could buy something special for Mom or sister...memories I will have forever ♡.Am praying for John and the family!

Leah and I loved seeing you Uncle John and Aunt Miriam in recent years when you all made trips to see Mark and Sandy. You all made us feel a part of your visit and we thank you for that. We loved visiting with you both, and Aunt Miriam's ever so gentle and compassionate voice will always be in my memory. We will miss her as many others will, it is always hard to let go of someone who is so special, but she is in good hands now just as is promised in the scriptures and you and the family will be in our prayers! We love you!

My husband Frank and I were blessed when we met Miriam and John Cromer at Exciting Idlewild over 15 years ago. Miriam was a wise and godly woman who helped me to grow in my faith and in my role as a woman of God. She was caring and in a very gentle way led others to know the Lord better. We have many happy memories of times spent with both Miriam and John. We've had wonderful discussions about the Lord, how He works in our lives, and what it is like to follow Him. We saw them less in the last couple of years, after they moved to their new home. Yet we always knew we could call on her anytime. She will be greatly missed.
