Sacred Pilgrimage
Birth is a beginning
and death a destination
And life is a journey:... See More
From childhood to maturity
and youth to age;
From innocence to awareness
and ignorance to knowing;
From foolishness to desecration
and then perhaps to wisdom.
From weakness to strength or
from strength to weakness
and often back again;
From health to sickness
and we pray to health again.
From offense to forgiveness
from loneliness to love
from joy to gratitude
from pain to compassion
from grief to understanding
from fear to faith.
From defeat to defeat to defeat
until looking backwards or ahead
We see that victory lies not
at some high point along the way
but in having made the journey
step by step
a sacred pilgrimage.
Birth is a beginning
and death a destination
And life is a journey;
A sacred pilgrimage to life everlasting

A Mother's Love -Song Tribute
A Mother’s Love
© 2/19/07 Dina Capitani
(Dedicated to my mother whose love has truly been the most tender, compassionate and profound love I’ve ever known.)
Whose door is always open? A mother’s door
Whose heart is always broken? A mother’s
Whose hands are always giving? A mother’s hands
Whose love is all-forgiving? A mother’s
A mother’s love is like no other’s love
A mother’s life is like no other’s life
A mother’s arms are like no other’s arms
And when she smiles, the sun and moon subside
For they themselves abide
In a mother’s love
Whose eyes are always knowing? A mother’s eyes
Whose garden’s always growing? A mother’s
Whose words are always telling? A mother’s words
Whose soul is not for selling? A mother’s
A mother’s love is like no other’s love
A mother’s life is like no other’s life
A mother’s arms are like no other’s arms
And when she smiles, the sun and moon disarm
For they themselves are warmed
By a mother’s love
A mother’s love is like no other’s love
A mother’s life is like no other’s life
A mother’s arms are like no other’s arms
And when she smiles, the sun and moon subside
For they themselves abide
In a mother’s love
