Memorial
This site is dedicated to Melodye Capitani, beloved Mom, Aunt, and friend who unexpectedly passed away in her sleep on January 7, 2010.

Thank you for signing the guest book, adding a story, a song, a video or a candle in remembrance and celebration of Melodye. This will help keep her memory close to our hearts and help us through the loss of her in our daily lives. - Dina (daughter)

Mom basically drafted the below obituary herself. She left a document "In the Event of my Death' to help us out when she died. Always considering others before herself even after she left this body. I'm still in total shock doing the next right thing. There really are no words to adequately describe this vibrant, beautiful woman who was my Mother and best friend....

The Words of God I personally experienced and held close to my heart:

“For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand,
saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee”
(Isaiah 41:13)

WORSHIP

As praises waft above my head
And rise to meet Your Face,
I join in Zion’s song
As Your Presence fills this place.

In meekness and humility
Our countenance we raise;
The Host of Heaven heralds
Our sacrifice of praise.

Angelic melodies burst forth
In full, resplendent sound;
We are in Eternity
And this is Holy Ground.

Mortal phrases pass my lips
Your Living Word is sung;
I wait upon Your Spirit
To transform my finite tongue.

The marrow of our souls expose,
Oh Lamb upon the Throne,
The veil of Heaven now is rent
By the blood of Glory’s Own.

Desire of All Ages Past,
Your bride is cleansed from sin.
The wedding of the Lamb is come.
Oh let the Feast begin!

The Ship Eternity

I have a Reservation
On a Ship “Eternity”
It waits for me along the shore
Of a gleaming Crystal Sea.

Sails billow with Ancient Winds
And a rudder deep and wide
Is set like flint toward Zion
On a sure and certain tide.

The Fare is paid for the Plan was made
For the Voyage of my soul
By the Captain of the vessel
When He polled the Glory Roll.

One day soon in misty morn
The Trumpeteer will blow
An “All Aboard” ‘cross time and space
And anchors will heave ho.

All gangplanks shall be taken up
To lower nevermore
And those without a Passport
Shall be left upon the shore.

Unconcerned, they’ll watch and wait
For another sure roll call
Legions of ships will sail that day...
But for a different Port of Call.

Chris and Dina, The service at the living rock church was WONDERFUL.. Again your Mom would of been proud. SO many people were there; so much love in one room. It was beautiful. God blessings on both of you... Jill you were a great part of the service and I know Meleody would of been so pleased....

Something about her countenance was always so refreshing. The few times I've been around her, I thought she was such a likeable person and ageless in that way. Very funny and fun to be around. But like at my party, she could be serious, too, about what she believed in. What great qualities for a mom to have...

The memorial you have created for Melodye is inspiring and deeply touching. My prayers are with you and your family. My 80 and 78 yr old parents remain actively involved in my small business. I can only imagine the devastation your mother's unexpected passing has brought you. Melodye is certain to be so very proud of you and your brother. Her wonderful spirit is alive indeed.
