I am so sad, my mom passed this same evening many years ago. Went out in a storm, and was carried in by a lamb. I am so saddened, heart broken, no words can express the sadness by OUR loss. He made us smile, he made us laugh, our world is better, brighter, because Martin, was in it. He made you, IRENE, shine, like a brilliant diamond. \

My love to you, Irene, and of course to your family.

Rest in peace, dear Marty, rest in peace!

A Tribute to my husband

Marty came swiftly into my life March/1962 and departed from me just as swiftly March 2013

For 51 years we were two souls joined in love and faith. He gave me the most precious gifts in life

Our four children

When he ask me to marry him he recited this poem from memory.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height

My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight

For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.

I love thee to the level of everyday's

Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.

I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;

I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.

I love thee with a passion put to use

In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.

I love thee with a love I seemed to lose

With my lost saints, --- I love thee with the breath,

Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,

I shall but love thee better after death.

Our souls are joined forever my love

Irene, we'll keep you & family in our prayers. I enjoyed being around Marty at the hall and both of you always helped during events with a smile. It was a true pleasure to have known him and may the lord keep his soul near him. May God Bless you & yours.

His laugh never ending,a happier soul will be hard to find. Hunting seasons were fun, never forget the time I saw him sleeping in the rain, down by the old barn, rifle laying on the ground, oblivious to the world. Rough plane trip I reckon...He tried hard to get me to join the Navy. The Army was the path for me, which lead me to my little Hawaiian bride. When Marty met Barbara he turns to me and says, "I hear you caught a Hawaiian disease?" "What ?" says I, "Yeah it's called Common I wanna lay ya !" I still hear that laugh 33 years later. I called him a few days before he died. Still in good spirits and thankful for the good life, family and friends he had. Until we meet on the otherside Marty, God Bless you.
