This site is dedicated to Lorraine Pilla.

1 Year Anniversary of her passing....

She is the best mother any child could have. She always put her children first no matter what and then along came the grandchildren that she started to worry about on a daily basis. Mommy love to get in the car and drive down to AC, that was her escape. We spent some real nice time down there alone, sure wish I can take her one more time. Mardi Gra was best, she waited all year to see everyone join together as one family and talk about the "Good old times" and there were many down there. She was the type of women you wanted to be around because she was funny and spoke her mind whether you liked it or not and she didn't care. (loved that quality). At the end of the day she was our mother and we all loved her more than any word could describe. She was our biggest fan in anything that you choose to do and that was a comforting feeling having your mom back you in anything that made you happy.Maxine loved all her friends from Salem Street and especially from the NY Postal Service. In my eyes it's one of the greatest losses. God must have had a pretty special job for her to have taken her so quickly. If there is a heaven and she is there.. when I die, I want nothing more than her to greet me at the gates.

Ester your missed with tremendous amounts of energy, an exuberant amount of consumption goes into everyday that you are not here with her. God how I wish you were here, and I can have that love of a lifetime and you could be there to see her shine. Wish to see your face and hear your thoughts in my dreams about where life will take us..

My mother would always tell me how poor we were and one day when she did get money she hid it in every nook she could find until it ended up somewhere jarred in the washing machine. At any rate she went downstairs to check the load she found 10-$100.00 bills floating around the machine and I think she said she screamed and then took the money out an laid each on down to dry. She told me her mother gave her and my dad 1,000 and back then it was a lot of money, but the money was to buy a house and that they did.

"To my favorite sister.. Yeah, that was your line. Stopped by to see Mom, Mel and you yesterday. Although it was a beautiful sunny day, my heart was broken. It's hard to believe it's been a year since you have been taken from us. Miss you very much!"
