Memorial
Kevin Tudor was known by a large number of people throughout the 41 years that he was with us. From Camp Oceola, to Knotts and Disney, to the clubs throughout Southern California, one can hardly forget Kevin.

On Monday, June 1st, 2009, Kevin, who many also knew as Kevin J or as KATJAM, passed away in his sleep due to heart failure. This was sudden and unexpected for all of us. We hardly expect to lose someone at the age of 41, especially someone so close to our hearts. This is one of those situations that is very hard, when one is lost who meant so much to so many people.

A memorial service is scheduled for July 18th, 2:00pm, at the Methodist Church in Costa Mesa (420 West 19th Street), and Kevin's friends are welcome to join.

Kevins mother, Patti, is deeply grateful for every single one of you that was in Kevins life. She welcomes your prayers and thoughts, as well as your phone calls.

If you need contact information for Patti, please e-mail the site creator (Benjamin Rockwell) by using the link to the right for "Contact Site Creator". Thank you.

The Promise
I grew up in Costa Mesa but never met Kevin. When I was about 18, 1988, I was with a friend at Love-n-Rockets at UCI Barkley; when the opening band, Jane's Addiction, came on everyone was out having ...

I just saw Kevin twice recently. Both times in April of this year. I was DJing at the Shark Club in Costa Mesa when he came up to me talking about his ideas for his new club. He had so much excitement in him about this new venture that it was easy for me to get excited about it as well. The other time was a rave in Los Angeles. It was funny. We are both pretty old school and we were standing in this crazy warehouse party just chatting, it could have been the same situation 15 years ago or so. Us talking while the rave is going on behind us.

He was a good guy. Wish I got to know him more. Makes me think about my own health. My heart goes out to his family. God Bless.

Kevin, I'm sure we've met in passing since we frequent the same places and have mutual friends. Your life has left an imprint on many lives and continues through all of their fond memories of who you were. Wishing you a great journey until we meet in our next lifetime.

The first time I met Kevin, I said, "Your hair is beautiful!" "Big Kev" was a mentor, someone I adored, and had a lot of fun with!

I hold in my heart these memories I have shared with some of you & hope you find the message I bring.

You guys remember that kick ass night me & AJ met when going 2 Noctural-08, dinner @ NB Yacht Club watchin the Boat Parade, rushing around town 2 pick Shawn & Owen then hitting t/diner at 6am 4 breakfest, many nights after Focus w/ Felina, Adam, & Britney to go eat @ Norms or Denny's, B-Day party 4 Sir John & Shannon, DJ Taylor @ Jimmy's Lounge, buying blinky toys, meeting up w/ Vidal for foam event by Mr. Bubble, toured t/art gallery nex 2 Proof, tolerated that crazy ass bum who recited 1 of t/best poems we have ever heard, and t/night Kevin gave all t/girls @ Extremes a chochlate rose 4 Valentine's Day!

I cherrish t/agruments we had, t/talks when driving in t/van, t/ideas were shared, how we made a good team, the friends I was introduced too and who we met together.

Kevin's business tactic's were superb & was known around town with Shawn & Gary. Kevin's experience & knowledge was perfected in many branches for events, legal binds, contracts, promoting and DJ's.

Kevin was a joker, vainly intelligent, stubborn, liked to push buttons, delivered his words of what was best with a smile and no fear to your face....LOL!

Kevin is a wonderful being that I am thankful for knowing and who has inspired me to continue. Kevin's advice was a key difference in many peoples lives, he was a brother and a best friend to many.

To me, Kevin is a vibe that is eternal, a pressence of honor, am proud of, will miss, and always LOVE!
