Memorial
On Father's day 2014, the social media status of one of his daughters read "Thankful for such an amazing Dad! Happy Father's day". Many words could be used describe him, words such as caring and dependable. He was truly amazing.

Julius Olatunde Eniola was born to Daniel and Bejide Eniola on the 14th of March 1937. He grew up in Nigeria and traveled to England in the 60s for his college education. He graduated from Kilburn Polytechnic in London. He married his wife Funke Eniola in November 1974 and their marriage has been blessed with four children and seven grandchildren. He was a business executive who worked with several International companies such as Wiggins Teape Inc, and Fan Milk Plc. He retired in 2000.

He died on June 19th 2014 after a brief illness with his wife by his side.

He is survived by his wife, children , grandchildren, brothers and sisters.

In memory of Father

Father died in June.
He left his body at the break of dawn
Thousands of miles from where I write.
But father, you did not say you will die
I told you my next piece was dedicated to you, why did you leave?

Father was a tall gentleman, six feet and some.
He would rise to his height and walk with gait.
His skin would glow like an African gazelle.
Father never spoke but his eyes narrated stories of love, colonialism, independence, freedom, peace.
His laughter was a chord, it never broke.

But father did not die the other year
When he lay ill of a fever of the heart
When the air he breathe, was attached to his gurney.
Father did not die of blisters and aches.
Father survived more than seventy of years.
Father was strong, I thought he would stay.
But if we don’t die where are the people of old?

So father, I ask, do you see me from where you are?
Do you still laugh the laugh that never breaks?
Do you think we will embrace again?
And father, why did you die?
But father did not answer.

Losing a family member is never easy. So many times we wish that we could have spent another minute. Finding the comfort and healing the pain is not easy. When my grandfather passed away I wanted more time. I look forward to John 5:28,29. I was able to find additional comforting information at jw.org. I hope these few words will bring a small amount of comfort knowing that God does care about you right now.

To live in the hearts of those you love is not to die. Rest on in the arms of He who loves you the most.
