Joseph A Grande

March 18, 1927

January 6, 2008

This site is dedicated to Joseph Grande a Great Father, Great Friend, and an all around Great Man. My Dad what can I say he was one of a kind. he would give you the shirt off his back before taking care of himself. We was a strong man right up until his last breath. He is so greatly missed and thought about everday.

Joseph was a proud United States Army Vetaran. A Veteran of World War II. Or as one of his favorite Actors would say "WWII The Big One" Thanks Carroll O' Connor AKA Archie Bunker. My Dad could tell you War stories all day. No matter how many times he told them they would always get better.

My Dad loved sports and we would watch many a Hockey, Baseball, or Football games from start to finish and he would know the teams and stats of everyone. He Loved the New York Yankees in baseball and the Football Giants. I cried my eyes out when the Giants won the Superbowl a Month after his death I feel they played that game for Joe.

He loved going to Atlantic City also. He loved the Slot machines. We took the bus ride down on many occasions and just had A Great time even if we lost we had fun because that was the kind of Man my Dad was. He enjoyed going to Florida on Vacation he was young again walking around Sea World and his favorite Epcot it brought out the kid in him it was Great.

The last few years of his life were tough having gone through about 8 operations the last being for a broken hip which confined him to a wheel chair. That was when it was my turn to take care of the man who always took care of me. For the last six years I took care of a Great Man, Great Father, and most of all my Pal as we always called one another. Then on January 6, 2008 God opened up his arms and whispered Joseph come to me. My Father entered heaven on that day and I have thought about him everyday since. I will always think about him until I see my Pal, My Father, My Best Friend once again. You will never be forgotten Dad We Love you and We Miss You.
