Obituary

Jessica Lynn Bennett McCaslin was born February 22, 1978 in Memphis, Tennessee to Keith Richard and Elaine Patricia Bennett. In the Fall of 1989, they moved to the Antelope Valley. Jessica attended Highland High School, and graduated from the Antelope Valley Adult School in 1997. She furthered her education at Antelope Valley College and earned an A.S. Degree in Registered Nursing Science in 2007. She began working at the Antelope Valley Hospital Emergency Department in 2008. Jessica loved being a nurse and taking care of her patients.

In 1997, Jessica married her high school sweetheart Chris McCaslin. Together their love produced a loving son, Aaron, who is 16 years old, and a miracle daughter Shelby, who is 12. Jessica was a devoted wife and mother, and her husband and children were the joy of her life.

Jessica was most passionate about her family, nursing, and rescuing animals. She loved to dance and attend parties, and now she is at the grandest party of all, dancing before the Lord.

Jessica leaves behind: Husband Chris McCaslin; Children Aaron and Shelby McCaslin; Mother Elaine Bennett; Grandma Vivian Curtis; Grandmother Cathy Bennett; Siblings Scott Bennett, Mandy Bennett Lowrance, and Brother-in-law Timmy Lowrance; Niece Samantha Jo Lowrance, and Nephew James Lowrance; Uncle Larry and Aunt Julie Curtis; Uncle Dale and Aunt Donna Curtis; Uncle Mike and Aunt Roxie Curtis; Cousins A.J., Julianna, Jeremy, Jonathan, Blake, Kelsey, and Ben.

Those who have preceded Jessica to Heaven’s Gate are: Father Keith Richard Bennett; Step-father Bob Cunningham; Grandpa Donald Curtis; and Niece Keylee Lowrance.

Jessica has a large extended family and many friends who will miss her dearly.

My deepest condolences on the passing of Jessica. I ran into this site by accident and was touched by her story and the beautiful messages left by the people that loved the most.

My mother died in my arms of CHF on Jul 19, 2007 and it is not only life changing, but a painful journey. I know the pain of loss, but Jessica is only a transition away, a prayer away and you must have faith in God and trust in the resurrection through our Lord Jesus Christ that you will see her again in God's time. Rest easy, she is in peace and want you all to be in peace until you meet again. Hugs, Judy
