Memorial
Madam Jane Ebimalu Enaholo (Mama) was born 73 years ago as the eldest daughter of 6 children to the family of Pa Ibhaguezighene Salami and Madam Sametu of Odogbe ward of Unuwazi, Uromi, Edo State of Nigeria. Her position as the eldest daughter in the family inbuilt in her a high sense of moral responsibility, discipline and hard work. This she brought to bear on her marriage in 1955 to the late commissioner of Police, Pa Callistus Emakhu Enaholo.

Prior to the death of her husband, Pa Callistus Emakhu Enaholo in November 17, 1976, she was a successful business woman supporting her husband in every way possible. She was a registered contractor with DUMEZ Construction Company and also a registered general merchant with J.B. Olivant Company, Nigeria Ltd.

Mama was a lady of many talents, perhaps she was the greatest folklore dancer and singer of her generation. She was a lead singer and dancer to the famous Ijiogidi and Ibhaboje dancing group of Uromi in the 40’s and early 50’s. These innate attributes has been passed on to her children.

Before her passing, Mama was the matriarch to the entire Enaholo family. She was an ardent Catholic Christian (Catholic Charismatic Renewal). Her only concern was how to straighten out all her children and those around her to the ways of God. She was a prayer warrior and a no-nonsense woman. Mama would not lie for you and would usually tell you the way it is. She was a strict disciplinarian; hence she was able to raise 8 children all by herself.

Mama was a sister, mother, and grandmother and great-grand mother to many people. She is survived by her 8 children (one daughter and seven sons) and their spouses: Dr. (Mrs.) Bridget Eigbokhan (Engr. Sam); Mr. Gregg Enaholo (Teresa) (USA); Mr. Henry Asotie Enaholo (Anne); Engr. Daniel Enaholo (Bridget); Arc. Pastor Chris. Omons Enaholo (Christie); Pastor Kenneth Enaholo (South Africa); Mr. Andrew Ehizokhale Enaholo (Eja) and Mr. Ebeagbor Enaholo (Zena). Stepchildren are Mrs. Elizabeth Ojugo, Mrs. Grace Ogbebor, Mrs. Dora Okojie and Dr. Austin Enaholo. In addition, her brothers and sister to mourn her are Mr. Patrick Salami, Pastor Clement Salami and Madam Vero Uwagbale and half brothers and sister are Mr. Julius Salami, Mr. Raphael Salami and Madam Ikhueko (Florence). Among her many grand children are Efua Eigbokhan (USA); Anetor Eigbokhan, Eni Eigbokhan (USA); Eromosele Eigbokhan (USA); Ehi Enaholo (USA); Osose Enaholo (USA); Osemudia Enaholo (USA); Idemudia Enaholo; Onose Enaholo; Ayemere Enaholo; Ibhahie Enaholo; Anehita Enaholo; Princess Zoe (Osehonseme) Enaholo; to mention but a few. Representing great grand children is Elijah Okalo Elens-Eigbokhan (USA).
