Cigars, Pipes, Peanut Brittle, Indian heritage, Al Jolson, and just life in general.
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am the song that will never end.
I am the love of family and friend.
I am the child who has come to rest
In the arms of the Father
who knows him best.

When you see the sunset fair,
I am the scented evening air.
I am the joy of a task well done.
I am the glow of the setting sun.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

I miss you deeply! I hope you are still looking down on us and protecting us from all the bad in our lives. You are never forgotten and will always be in our hearts. I love you pop-pop!

Even though I never got to meet you, I feel like I know all about you from all the stories and memories that are shared through the family that loves you and misses you everyday. I hope that one day I will get to meet you up in heaven. Keep smiling down on your family.

I can distinctly remember when I was little girl how my grandfather would put bugles on his fingers like they were claws or used them as little horns to make me laugh. Even to this day, I still laugh about it and do it to my own children. I even remember when my brother and I would have sleep overs with pop-pop and we'd gorge on hamburgers, pizza, ice cream, and all kinds of things we shouldn't have been eating. He spoiled us rotten but my parents kept letting us go back. He always found a way to make us laugh and show us a good time ... And even when he was very sick. He found humor in everything and that's what made him so special.
