This site is dedicated to the Estate of Late James Bolarinwa Ojekanmi.
"Bola" Ojekanmi was called to a better place on March 21, 2015 in Ogbomosho. He was 66.
1. Early Life:
Baba was born on March 9, 1948 in Lekewogbe, Ogbomosho, Oyo State Nigeria. He retired in 2001 and dedicated his remaining time to educating and caring for his children and grandchildren in prayers.
2. Personal Life:
2.1 Religion:
Coming from a background of the Ojekanmi's, baba always believed there is a another supreme being named "Jesus". He therefore decided to leave traditional religion behind in the late 80s and was converted to a baptist.
2.2 Family:
Baba lived a selfless life, always giving his time and committed most of life time to encouraging and advising his siblings and relatives to pursue quality education. As far back as 1980s baba had his younger brother with him, he guided him in choosing one of the best Universities in Nigeria. Baba always look far ahead into the future, he realized that achieving a sustainable life and restoring dignity of anyone will indeed involve hard work, so he dedicated his moments to working very hard, both privately for himself, by establishing a bakery business, including moving to the public sector.
2.3 Education:
Baba attended the University of Ife, to pursue a diploma in buiness by completing Royal Society of Arts of London certification(RSA).
2.4 Career:
Oyo State College of Education 1985 - 1990
Baba started working at the Oyo State College of Education Ilesa. He dedicated the period in serving the whole community with professionalism and accountability.
St Andrews College of Education 1991 - 2001
Baba moved to the St Andrews College of Eduction, Oyo in 1991 to continue his career as the acting Bursar. He retired in 2001.
3 Historical Events:
3.3.1 Baptist Seminary:
At a very young age baba left lekewogbe in order to pursue quality life of hard-work and to dedicate his life educating his children and other relatives, he started his career as a shorthand typist at the Baptist Medical Seminary, Ogbomosho. He worked until late 80s before moving out to Ile-Ife
3.3.2 Notable Affiliates:
Baba had numerous inspiring friends, colleagues and associates during his career and education at Ile-Ife, few among them were Dr Wande Abimbola, which his second son was named after. Dr Toyese Oyeniyi the Oba of Gbongan.
3.3.3 Accounting Profession:
Baba was very skilled in Accounting and business. He achieved numerous certifications in the Institute of the Royal Society of Arts, where he also made numerous friends and professionals.
Baba is survived by Olawumi,Akinola,Abimbola Adeola, his younger brother Davies and three grandchildren.
Father
James Bolarinwa Ojekanmi is a father indeed. He has the eye to see greatness in people, when it is not that conspicuous. He has a loving heart, love God and he is a man of high integrity.
