Age 86, died peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2008, at the Saline Evangelical Home surrounded by her family. She was born July 22, 1922 in Ann Arbor, MI, the daughter of Phillip and Frances (Racine)Ceriani. On March 27, 1943, in Ann Arbor, MI, she married Harold M. Hopper and he preceded her in death on January 30, 1984. Josephine was a lifetime member of the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Saline Aux-iliary. Survivors include four children: Sandra (Ted) Webster of Saline, Joanne (Bill) Rosenberg of Troy, OH, Paul (Vicki) Hopper of Saline, and Jim (Patty) Hopper of Ypsilanti, MI. Other survivors include nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one brother Louis (Maria) Ceriani of Dexter, MI, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband Harold, by four brothers and two grandsons: James Scott Hopper II and Anthony Craig Brewington. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home with Dr. Matthew J. Hook officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Saline, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Saline Auxiliary. Envelopes will be available at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home where friends may begin calling on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 between the hours of 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of Service at 11 a.m. The family would like to give a special thank you to The Angels on "G" Wing at the Saline Evangelical Home.

Three years.........It's such a hard time of year. Missing you so much. Guess I always will. It's such a comfort to KNOW you are in a wonderful place with Dad and Jim and Grandma and Grandpa.

Jim is with you and Dad and Jimmy now. Once we were six and now we are three. Huge hole in my heart...........At least I know Jim is happy and without pain, as you all are, but it still hurts not to have you phosically in my life.
