Gary Savage
January 19, 1970 – January 28, 2013
Gary was a vibrant man who enjoyed bringing laughter to everyone. He was only here with us briefly but left a lasting legacy to all whose life he touched.

Gary was proceeded in death by his brother David Savage and his step brother Frank Datzman, and is survived by his parents Diane Savage of Rocklin CA, Robert and Gloria Savage of Grass Valley, CA, his children Emily Savage and Ryan Savage, and their mother Darlene Savage of Foster City, his sister Cyndi (Savage) Tudor and her husband Doug of Waxhaw, NC, his nephew Justin Tudor (Raleigh, NC) and his niece Sarah Tudor currently in Prague, his step sister Kim LeMieux and her husband Joe of Longmont, CO, many, many beloved friends and softballs pals.

Gary graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelors of Science. He worked for a number many years at Visa, he took a brief sabbatical to try his hand at Real Estate, and he returned to Visa and was a senior leader for many years.

Gary was very civic minded he served on in a variety of community volunteer roles, from Visa Softball to coaching his children at various sports in the Foster City Community. He served as the PTA Treasurer at Foster City Elementary School. His time and talent will be missed by all.

Gary was a very dedicated father that was very proud of his children Emily and Ryan. He loved that Emily was becoming a confident young lady with many talents yet to be discovered. He loved that Ryan reminded him so much of himself especially because Ryan loves to make people laugh. He continually said that he was so proud of both them and was excited to see what adventures and marks they would make on the world, understanding that they would both do it very differently.

My heart breaks for Gary and his family. Life can be so unfair. I have many fond memories from back when we were kids, including houseboat trips...swimming in the pool...and most recently on a cruise to Alaska. You'll certainly be missed, Gary.

You will be missed. The world has lost one of the great ones. I know you will be cheering on the Giants and Niners. God bless you
