Memorial
Rev. Fred Winters was a married father of two, and the driving force at his church since becoming senior pastor in 1987. The average attendance was around 30 people, and under his guidance, the congregation swelled by hundreds and now includes more than 1,200.
Fred Winters had a doctorate in theology, and was former president of the Illinois Baptist State Association and an adjunct professor for Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
The suburban St. Louis pastor was gunned down while delivering his Sunday sermon.
Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

May the God of Peace be with your family and your congregation. Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. What you don't allow to make you bitter will make you better. Blessings

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)

Yet another soldier of Christ departs from us, but will soon be elevated to a dwelling place that all of us living dream of. I conclude quoting our saviors words (John 14:19).”Because I live, ye shall live also”
