I am truly saddened and surprised to hear of Eric's passing. I never had the opportunity to meet Eric in person. Our relationship was always via the electronic connections we had while I was at CHR. I often thought of our friendship as one fostered by a complete trusting and confident business relationship backed by the fact that I also have a son named Eric who was of the same age. Eric and I have shared hours and hours of commuinication in the last 10 years as I came to value him as one of my most favorite users at CHR. We shared so many stories about each others lives. My main memories of Eric were of his gratitude whenever I was able to assist him or one of his customers in the world of EDI and also of his strength, confidence and comfort he had with his illness. I am truly honored by being able to call Eric a friend.

My love and my blessings go you, Emma and Angela, during this trying time.

Eric came to the Detroit Branch to help out with the Frito Lay account when I first started working here some 15+ yrs ago. His non stop sense of humor and warmth made working on this account less stressful. Our work paths crossed from time to time over the years and it was always great to speak with him...he will be missed

I best knew Eric through his knowing others. I best understood Eric through his understanding. I best felt a comraderie through his friendship among the Team. I felt inspired in how he inspired. I feel motivated by the motivations he instilled in the people with which he shared. He leaves a distance so shortened by the way he affected the lives of so many people. Angela and Emma, I pray for your strength, and with Eric's passionate coaching, I suspect God will feel compelled to give.

I had the honor of working with Eric for a number of years when I was down in Dallas. My best memories of Eric were playing poker and golf with him. We always started with small wagers but as I started taking his money, the wagers got larger as he hated to lose. It seems like we always broke even, but his passion and desire to win was never more evident than on the golf course. It was also pretty special for Mo and I having Eric at the MJ Golf Classic benefitting the American Cancer Society. Eric was a special person and will be missed.

"Spending time with Eric was always enjoyable. He would tell you his views on any topic, with a twist of humor and blunt honesty. He had the patience of Job in dealing with problems. He will be missed, and I will remember him fondly. God Bless."
