Grandkids, Ohio State Football, Stories, Helping Others
This site is dedicated to my father, Dennis Andrew Carr. Dad was born May 8th, 1932 in Columbus, OH in the part of town known as German Village. His parents were Sara and Andrew Carr. Grandma Carr was an artist and Grandpa Carr was an archaeologist.

He grew up with his bother Jerry and his sisters Elaine, Sherie and Patty. Dad was the second of the kids, and always a goof from what I have been told. This childhood of entertaining his family and friends was likely the basis of his lifelong dedication to helping others and taking a genuine interest in their lives.

Dad left high school to join the Navy in 1949 and was enlisted as a Seaman's Apprentice. He attended a number of medical training courses and served as a medical corp member Stateside during the Korean War before being Honorably discharged in 1953.

After leaving the Navy, Dad went to the undisputed greatest college in this fine nation, The Ohio State University. He graduated with a degree in Social Work and an appetite to go help people.
