Cyprien Tah Aza (AKA Cy) was born on March 7, 1970 in Kaélé in the Northern Province of Cameroon as the first child to Pa Bernard Fombo and Mami Rose Fombo. Between the years 1973 – 1982 he got his nursery and primary education in Yaounde and Njindom. He then proceeded to Bishop Rogan Minor Seminary in Soppo - Buea where he obtained his GCE Ordinary Level. He later obtained his GCE Advanced Level at Government High School Mbengwi.
Between the years 1992 – 1996 Cyprien studied at St. Thomas Aquinas' Major Seminary in Bambui where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy. For several years Cy served God in various Parishes in the Archdiocese of Bamenda.
After not discerning a vocation to the Priesthood and determined to live a fulfilled life, Cyprien enrolled with the National Electricity Cooperation (SONEL) school in Ombe, South West Province - Cameroon. Upon graduation, Cyprien worked at SONEL for about two years. It was during this time that he found a new vocation, marrying Corlence Swirri Fon, the apple of his eye. He then left the country to begin a new life in the United States of America. In the following years, God blessed his family with three beautiful children: Cyril Soh Aza Jr., Ciara Ngum Aza and Carrie Ijang Aza. He leaves behind his wife, kids, mother, father, grandmother, two brothers, three sisters, in-laws, extended family and friends to pray for him.

Na we brother eh eh, na we dady eheeh na we uncle eheh na we pikin eheh we brother don go leave for who eh eh.Cy who taught you to sleep this long for one month, is it a joke , if so then stop it and get up. Cy why this terrible disgrace to the family? Or is it really that, as Anthonio in the merchant of vince said "that the world is a stage where every one most play a part and mine being a sad one" Was yours that sad thaat you decided to go without any notice, well now it is between you an your God, or what actually happened that you left us so suddenly. Infact itis a serious blow, please tell God when you meet him that we are sinners but we cannot stand one one hundreth of the blows any longer like Job did. So let him give us the wisdom to discern the form of repentance he desires of us. We cannot question God's ways for He giveth and taketh, all we can say is Adieu bro.prepare a place for us, where you are going for we are sure that place is that beautiful otherwise you would not have left us in this manner, at the summer of your life. We will pray for you as you go ahead for that is the best we can do.

While, I did not personally know Cyrien, I knew enough to know what a wonderful person he was through his loving brother, Basil. For the family, do not worry, no one has the answer as to why he had to leave us so early, only god has the answer. He always pick the beautiful roses first. The lord have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing. Jer. 31:25. He heals the brokenhearted and bandage their wound. May the lord show the family his will, and which path to take and heal your wounds. God bless you all and our family will keep you in prayer. Bazil, may your brother rest in peace, do not worry he will always be with you!
