Art and spending time with family and friends
This site is dedicated to Coleman "Cocoa" Baird who left this earth way too young. He was a Dad, Son, Brother, Uncle and friend. Creative by nature, his love for drawing and art landed him at The Atlanta Art Institute for several years. Cocoa, as known to most of his friends, was a free spirit with a generous nature about him. He was a kind soul and had a huge heart for everyone he loved. He will be and is greatly missed. There is but one fact providing us strength to go on; he is in Heaven now preparing our home for when it is our time to join him. My only hope is that he knows how special he is and was to everyone who was fortunate to have been touched by him. He will remain forever in our hearts and will NEVER be forgotten.

you know the room they take you to in the icu or micu when things arent going well... well i lost my my mom back in 2011 after a long battle with cancer. it was a hell of a blow.well back to the creepy little room with the tissue and the king james on the table. i look up at this amazing piece of art on the wall and am inclined to get up for a closer look. the signatue at the bottom was c baird. i didnt know what had happened til i asked the nursing staff who were his caregivers.; they remembered him quite fondly, we shared stories and had a good laugh. taking my mind,a lthough temporarily of my mothers passing. he was a great friend...

I was saddened to hear of Coleman's passing. I was friends with him while he lived in Atlanta for a few years. I will always remember him with fun and sweet memories. Hugs. J Barron

So sad to find out about Cocoa's passing. He was indeed a talented young man but also a very caring, gentle spirit. I pray that his family has peace in knowing how well-loved he was and how much he is missed. Wonderful memories of him in art class and his sweet curious nature! God Bless you Cocoa! Love, Mrs. Cook

May you have in Heaven everything you were missing here on Earth. Your passing was not the end but simply a new beginning.
