This site is dedicated to Claire Crook who passed away on May 13th, 2012 Tallahassee, FL.


      "Claire was born to Jennifer and Michael on September 17th, 1985 in Melbourne, Florida. She was a quiet, sweet, little girl that had an infectious laugh. Her love of music started early, as did her love of being creative. She was often found with her headphones on listening to music and writing poetry or lyrics, making collages, or just doodling. She always had a positive influence on people throughout her entire life, touching and changing lives for the better wherever she went. Claire had true friendships found all over this world, and had been a solid rock in many people’s lives, being there for so many people when they desperately needed something, anything.

   Claire always excelled in everything she did. She graduated from Nease High School with Honors in 2004, and from Florida State University with a degree in Literature and Sociology in 2009. She was an accomplished Drum and Bass DJ, and one of her favorite things to do was to hang out with her girls, spin records, and making sure that everyone was having a great time. Her life will never be forgotten, because there are too many people here on earth that love her too deeply to ever let anyone forget how absolutely amazing she really was. Her soul was pure and full of a light so bright that it radiated out and warmed everyone it touched. She will be truly, deeply missed by all…" (Star Stanhope)

She is survived by her Mother Jennifer Kaplan-Lawson and Dad Mike Lawson of Jacksonville, FL. Siblings: Jonathan Kaplan, Jordon Kaplan of Jacksonville, FL, Ryan Lawson, Jessica Lawson. Star and Matthew Stanhope of DC. Her father Michael Crook of FL. Siblings: Jonah Crook, Caroline Crook of Jackson, FL. Grandparents: John and Cindy Jaques of Flower Mound, TX. George and Laura Ragsdale of Houston, TX.. Nancy Crook of Vero Beach. Aunts and Uncles: Dr. John Scott Jaques and Kammy Jaques of College Station, TX.
