Through his son Christ Jesus, the Creator assures us of a resurrection, at John 5:25 "Most truly I say to you, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who have paid attention will live."

Philippians 4:7 says "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus." May God's loving kindness comfort you and help you through this very sad time (Psalms 29:11)

Your leadership, support, and full of life personality will be truly missed. Your calm demeanor always made everyone feel like a valued member of the team, call, or initiative that was being discussed.

May your family find peace through this indescribable loss.

Dear Cheryl, I remember meeting you when you were still based in the Bangalore office, and I remember thinking then "wow, she has a drive and a vision, and she's going to achieve great things". Shortly after you became the manager of the EMEA support center, and I watched as you transformed the support center, doubling its size but at the same time ensuring for the first time a real community feeling among the teams. I remember you telling me that it was important to know everyone's names, and you were approachable to everyone, and at the same time gave direction. It's amazing what you accomplished in a short lifetime. We're feeling your loss, but at the same time your legacy and the solid foundation that you built at our support center will continue to grow, and you will be remembered and celebrated. My deepest condolences to your family and friends.

Cheryl Willis is a jewel that I will forever be thankful for. The friendship that we developed from a working relationship was unique. My heart is sad as I know I will not get another "silly" Jabber message from you but I will continue to drive forward applying every word of advice given through the years. Rest easy my friend and know that your legacy will forever live on through all of us that you have positively impacted through the years. My prayers will continue for your family. #worksisters4ever

Cheryl - though our encounters had been brief, you had left an indelible impression in me as someone who is kind, full of life and had a generous heart. I vividly remember how you spoke excitedly about your new pairs of HappySocks you picked up in New York - now each time i walk pass the store you never fail to come to mind. Thank you for the beautiful memories. I pray for those you left behind. Rest in peace and may God continue to watch over you.

Cheryl, you were the best of colleagues. Always listening, interested, no politics, always there to help advance people and the team and the company. Sometimes you were observing and quiet however when you would speak up it was always something well considered, useful and insightful. You were loved by many and a dear colleague and friend for me..and you were part of building something great in Europe for NetApp. I will miss you! Gos Hein

My dear friend Cheryl, since I received the sad news last weekend there is no way to stop thinking about all the fun we had together at work and also while having a drink and talk about private topics. We managed many escalations and I was more than happy to work through the challenges with you. We also managed to have tremendous fun. I will never forget us, sitting at the bar of the Radisson Blu in Amsterdam, watching a bunch of elderly ladies with cocktails and wearing funny hats and wigs. That evening I could still hear your distinctive laugh after you left the elevator. That laugh and great sense of humor, your love for animals and in particular dogs made you so incredible likable and unique, that it will take a long time before I will be able to realize you are gone. Wherever you are, keep on laughing and being the person you are. We will all miss you and one day we may be reunited and hopefully find a bar, while this time we hold the cocktails and wear the funny hats. Rest in peace my dear friend and have an eye on us.

With deep pain in my hear I pen these lines for Cheryl :

A truly great boss is hard to find difficult to part with and impossible to forget that is Cheryl for me the best boss I had.
Her presence was always inspiring, her reassuring words, constant support will always be cherished.
You will be missed Cheryl and I will always remember you as an angel for me. You were the best flower in the garden that God picked.
May your soul rest in peace and God Give Lakshman and your family strength to bear the loss of the most beautiful person we know.
I will miss you Cheryl, just gone too fast from us !!!

My dear friend Cheryl, one thing I genuinely believe: Angels do exist, and you are one of them. You will always be with us, especially in our hearts. For Cheryl's family: May God bless you all. She always will be with you all more than never. Just close your eyes and feel. Now, she is a beautiful star in heaven, looking and protecting you all (and us). Blessings to all. We love you, Cheryl.

My dearest friend, words cannot express the loss I feel at this moment, but the gratefulness that I also feel for the time we had together. My dear mother used to say "find someone that believes in you more than you believe in yourself and you will soar". I was that person for you Cheryl. I believed in your infinite potential firstly because of your heart and only then because you were so very talented. I would have moved heaven and earth for you to see that your career was all that you wanted it to be....you were that special. But what you will never know is that while I was your coach and mentor, you were my teacher. What I learned from you in less than two years is immeasurable. Your grace, poise, balance, and calm were things I envied. Your love of animals made my heart sing. And the love of your husband and best friend, was so beautiful to watch. In your short life, you left a legacy that most can only dream to create. You are and will always be my hero. Until we meet again in heaven my friend....enjoy your time with my mother and grandparents, as I am certain they were some of the angels waiting for you in heaven. Much love. Cindy

I find it difficult to believe that she is no more. I am deeply saddened to hear the news about Cheryl. I was part of the wonderful team which she built in Bangalore during her tenure with E&Y and have known her since 2007. She has and always will be one of the most brilliant and gifted individual I have ever come across in my life and not just professionally. I will and I hope everyone will remember her for her dedication & hardwork, her quick wit, sense of humour and her passion to succeed with her bubbly disposition and that wonderful smile. She was a kind and generous person and I feel a sense of loss because I know that a very good soul has been taken away from us. In time she became a good & trusted friend whom I will miss. My prayers are with her family.

Cheryl is a special person to me. I was one of the fortunate persons who reported to her directly. She was my manager when she was in Bangalore-India. She is a such a people oriented person and a great leader.

She was very supportive and touched our personal lives when my wife underwent an emergency surgery due to an ectopic pregnancy and was traumatized by the loss of her first baby.

Cheryl was very kind and helpful to manage my work-life balance. More than a colleague, I will always remember her as a good human being.

My heart goes out to her dear ones and those mourning her loss.

Remembering you smiling face...Good bye Cheryl. Rest In Peace.

Though I haven't had a chance to meet or work with Cheryl, from all the messages and internal conversations, I gather that Cheryl was a wonderful person. Everybody who interacted with her loved her so much. This tragic news has brought sorrow to a lot of lives whom she had touched. Life doesn’t seem fair sometimes and this is one of those moments. She will be missed by everyone here at NetApp. May the fond memories of Cheryl bring comfort during this hard time to Cheryl's family as well as NetApp's family. My heart and prayers go out to Cheryl's family and friends.

I only interacted with Cheryl briefly on conference calls, and once in person at a company event. At the event, she went out of her way while in a rush to a meeting, to make a few minutes to chat. Our brief chat impressed me how very sweet she was, and also made me feel part of our larger global team. I will remember her from those brief enjoyable moments and I wish her family my condolences.
