Born to Pa Samson and Madam Lucy Ebuehi of Benin City, Nigeria on the 8th of November, 1967, late Dr. Charles, MD was the third child of his mother and one of the 13 children of his father. As a child, he had a remarkable ability to transmit his cheerful strength to his peers and this he gained by being fed with several spoonfuls of fizzling concoction of mannerism that was rich in honesty and mature dispensation. He spent his pupil years at Uwa Primary School, Benin City. Upon graduation from, Arewale Grammar School (Western Boys High School), he went on to Lagos for his Advanced-Levels.
Years later, he rose to the post of registrar at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City (UBTH)-his alma mater where he had graduated as a Medical Doctor in 1992. While at UBTH, his conviction that humans had a responsibility to help the sick-a matter of social obligation but not a matter of charity-served as a compass that guided his words as well as all his actions.
Even as a medical student late, Dr. Charles dispensed appropriately, the maximum daily doses of intellectuality, maturity, loyalty, commitment to decorum, and all that there was that encompass the bloom of the healthy mind and soul. In addition to the traits aforesaid, he blend to an extraordinary degree, a highly distilled power of intuition and imagination which rarely coexist in an individual, but when they do occur, men call genius.
With a renewed confidence in the future and robust commitment to medical practice, after years of private practice in Nigeria, he migrated to the Trinidad and Tobago where he worked as a skilled surgeon putting the dexterity of his hands to saving lives at the Port of Spain General Hospital until he exited to glory on the 4th of January, 2010.
Preceded in death by his father, Pa Samson E. Ebuehi, late Dr. Charles is survived by Dr Daniela (wife), Lucy Modupe Ebuehi (mother) and siblings: George, Sunny, Kate, Osawuesa, Efe, and Esohe Omosehgo, osarodian, JJ, Nosa, and Jenifer.
