Memorial
Brian Woodruff was a loving Father, Son, Brother, and Friend. He loved to Log, Hunt, and Fish. He was always full of laughter, kindness, and a good time. His number ones in life were his kids, family, and friends. He loved being among God’s creation during work and play. He was a master fisherman and hunter. He will be greatly missed by all. He was taken way too soon from those he loved! Brian would not want us to morn his passing but rather celebrate his life!

More then 400 family, friends, and fellow loggers joined together to celebrate the life Brian on September 10th 2011. He was a very important man in all of our lives and community. Brian will be missed by so many. Some people come into our lives and quietly stay. Others stay for a while, leaving footprints in our hearts forever and we are never the same. He was a man once you met him you could never forget him, his smile, his kind voice, or his amazing presents.

If you knew Brian you knew his kids were his every thing. This is a poem that he had next to his bed that was given to him by his daughter it read:

One day I was picking the toys up of the floor,
I noticed a small handprint on the wall beside the door.

I knew that it was something that I’d seen most everyday,But this time when I saw it there I wanted it to stay.

Then tears welled up inside my eyes I knew it wouldn’t last,For every parent knows children grow up way to fast.

Just then I put my chores aside and held my children tight,I sang to them sweet lullabies and rocked them into night.

Sometimes we take for granted all those things that seem so small, Like one of our great treasures….. a small handprint on the wall.

Let us all remember Brian’s love. He was taken way too young. Each day is a gift with those we love. Let us all just remember to take those that we love and hold them tight because we never know when their light won’t shine bright anymore.

One of his favorite pass times along with hunting and fishing was golf. He and his brother TD were the men’s golf league champions at the Myrtle Creek Golf Course. In remembrance of Brian we will be holding an annual golf tournament every year at the end of August. We hope to see everyone come out to support a great cause. We will have more information on the event later through out the year.

Please feel free to leave comments of some of your great memories with Brian for all to enjoy.

You and I had many friends outside of each other. But when we were together it always was real. Being Together when your dad passed gave us a bond like no other. Growing up was simply a constant joy with you. Vacations in Cali, laughing and playing ball together chasing our dreams and the ladies. Even today your on my mind. I will see you soon one day my friend. 10/22/15
