I didn't know the Captain but when I saw all of the kind things written about him, it prompted me to recall what the bible promises about such kind individuals in John 5:28,29. And for those us who mourn the death of loved ones Revelation 21:3,4. So as these ones rest in sleep we can look forward to seeing them once again.

A strong yet gentle man of dignity and honour. I loved meeting Cpt. Shelar many years ago, he made me feel so very welcome and I felt he was like a father figure not only to me but to so many others around me.
A father's heart in every way now at rest with his heavenly father.
