This site is dedicated to Aylen James Housman.

I found out I was pregnant on September 16, 2008. I was more excited than ever, but yet scared at the same time, because Jake was at basic training in San Antonio, Texas. The first person I called was Jake's mom, Joy.
My first doctors appointment was September 18, 2008 with Dr. Brett in Litchfield. Everything seemed to be okay, and everything checked out fine. I then transfered to Hutchinson Medical Center because I was told I was a "High Risk Pregnancy".
I felt okay for most of the pregnancy. As time went on, things started to change. I went into the E.R. on Wednesday, September 26th in severe pain, in Hutchinson. They rushed me into the ultrasound room, because they were afraid that I was having an ectopic pregnancy. Everything looked okay, so they took a sample of my blood. My HCG hormones were reading at 318. So they told me to come back that following Friday.
As Friday rolled around, I had my appointment with the OBGYN at 9:15 a.m. in Hutchinson.
They rechecked my HCG hormone count, and they were at 326. By that time, they should have doubled to over 600.
I was then told that the baby was not going to make it, and was put into surgery the following morning.
I was 6 weeks and 4 days along when I lost Aylen James.

An Autopsy was performed after surgery, and they found that the chromosomes were XY, and found that it was caused by RH - and RH + blood that both me, and Aylen had. It was a baby boy.

We are having a hard time letting go, but we know that we will see him in heaven one day. God has a plan, and although we don't understand it now, we will hopefully understand in the future. For the time being, we have each other to tryto get through this hard time.
