Angie passed away on Thursday October 10th 2013 in Prince George BC while en route to pan for gold. Some things we do know but some are a best guess of what may have happened.
Part of the journey to the gold panning site involved crossing the Willow river which is shallow enough to cross by foot. My sister and her male companion were towing a small dinghy and some light gear across.

While close to the shoreline, she lost her footing while exiting the boat. The swift current and cold water quickly overwhelmed her.

What I want to share is she didn't suffer long at all.

Angie I've happily seen you recently in my dreams - still lighting up the world with your smile and bringing joy everywhere you are.

I miss you very much and know the gigantic community of family and friends you created are united in the beautiful memories and love we share of you.

Thank you for your friendship and for being such an incredible inspiration of what a loving and generous heart can accomplish in our world.

I just heard of Angie's passing, and I wanted to offer my condolences. Angie coached us 20 years ago to win the high school city championships in basketball. I also played women's league basketball with her for a number of years afterward. I have the utmost respect for her. She gave us confidence and taught us to believe in ourselves. I will always remember her support and leadership.

I will miss you so much. I love you with all my heart. I know you will come back after that long vacation. You have never broken your promise that you will always be there for us. I finally find the courage to write something, not very much. I enjoyed taking care of you and you taking care of us. You are a good and loving daughter, love you always.
