Anahita Vahdatinia

January 5, 1991

August 3, 2009

Words cannot express the spirit, the wisdom, the grace, the charm, and the wit that Anahita exuded during her life. For twenty months she courageously battled cancer. During which time she graduated high school valedictorian, received acceptance from every university she applied to, including Stanford University and University of California, Los Angeles. She planned to major in molecular and cell biology at University of California, Berkeley, in hopes of one day becoming a pediatric oncologist.

She loved life. She loved art, music, fashion, pop culture. She loved to see the world. And she loved to learn from all her experiences. Her way with words was uncanny; she could make anyone laugh, and she could always convince anyone otherwise. She had a certain knack for recognizing people, knowing what they like, and pinpointing their qualities. She was incredibly well-rounded and gifted in all her endeavors. And her sickness never became an impediment in her appreciation for life.

On August 3rd, 2009 she lost her battle to cancer, leaving an unmeasurable void in the hearts of her loving mother, father, two sisters, and other family members and friends. She could have been a great many things in life. She certainly had the passion and ambition for it. We will miss her dearly.
