Memorial
This site is dedicated to celebrating the life of Dr. Aegean Leung. She left us on October 21, 2015, after a short and brave battle with leukemia. At the time she left us, she was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sidney Business School. For all of us who knew her, the news of her death has been sad and shocking.

Aegean was a loving mother and wife who balanced her care and concern for her children Alpha, Beta and Gamma and husband Frederick with her commitment to scholarship. She was a young and hard working scholar, who brought to academia her passion and insights for people’s agency in the world. As the meaning of her name indicates, she brought gentle waves to academia and all around her. She was soft, resilient and unshakeably determined at the same time.

As an academic she had many accomplishments. As a co-author, she was always ready to bring people together and do the heavy lifting with grace, kindness and patience. She diligently worked to truly understand the people and processes she studied, and to reflect them faithfully in her work. She was remarkably multicultural, speaking not only her native Cantonese but fluent English, Mandarin and Japanese, and unconsciously adopting culturally-appropriate mannerisms when speaking each language.

Thank you Aegean, for your generous nature, your integrity and your zest for life. Your compassion for those around you and your positivity, even when life dealt you some terrible blows, were inspiring and humbling. We have been fortunate to have you in our lives. We already miss your smile, your friendly touch and your beautiful soul.

My deepest condolence to the family, I was shocked and tearful to know that my sweet most magnificent madam had passed away. I was one of the children's nanny in Singapore, that was many years ago sometime in 2001-2002. Alpha, Beta & Gamma were the most energetic, happy, and loving children had lots of fun with them. Mr Frederick was the smartest, loving father and supportive husband to Aegean I can't imagine there loss..

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Aegean. May you find comfort in knowing our Heavenly Father holds out the hope of the resurrection for dead loved ones. His son, Jesus, sad "all those n the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out ". John 5:28,29. Our dead loved ones are in God's memory and one day he will resurrect them to a paradise earth. Psalm 37:9,10,11,29. Job 15:14,15 says he has a yearning to do so. Isn't that comforting to know? Revelation 21:3,4 says that one day on this earth, death will be no more, neither will pain or mourning be any more.
